summer months, make sure your air
conditioning is working properly and
that you use it while driving. Don't
roll down the windows and let your dog
hang its head out of the window, and
never have your pet in the back of a
truck.

Purchase an appropriate carrier for your
pet, depending on its size and how you
will travel. The carrier you choose
should allow the pet to stand up, turn
around and lay down comfortably.

Make sure your pet is physically able to
travel. If the pet is older, if it is
very young and not well trained yet, or
if it has been sick or at the vet
frequently, you may want to postpone
traveling with him. Your dog or cat may
be better off in their own home being
cared for by a loving pet sitter or
relative.

I
went into smart Pet store and checked out their dog carriers. They
had some that were direct knock offs of our designer bags. There
was a huge difference though in the quality. I especially noticed
it in the attention to details. Our designer carriers have details
galore. From tiny silver feet on the bottom of the bag to
rhinestone accents that are hammered on to padded fur lining in
the carrier. Some of the bags used the same fabric but were very
flimsy once I put my dog in them. Enough said. We just ask you do
a little comparison shopping on dog carriers and you'll find the
few dollars more are worth it when it comes to style and comfort
