The character of these terrific collars is derived from the artistry of the Mayans of Guatemala. The Mayans produce great craftsmen, families who have been weavers of cotton goods for centuries. Their beautiful designs transform these collars into a true work of art. These are hand woven threads much like the belts humans wear. This top layer is then sewn onto a soft and sturdy nylon webbing. This design is not just printed onto a nylon collar like you see at the large "smart" pet stores.
