The plush pillow contains a heartbeat mechanism that can be removed for washing. Great way to reduce separation anxiety when you're away. We gave this to our dog Suzie and right away she ran away and carried it to her bed. Within a day she had figured out how to gently squeeze this toy with her teeth to activate the heartbeat.
